Salesforce Spring Release 2022 Highlights – Quick Review

The Salesforce Spring Release of 2022 was released with lots of new features and updates. This release was highly anticipated by both businesses and customers. The features released in the Salesforce spring 22 will help fulfill business goals for the new year with updates that improve user efficiency, build powerful automation for users, and benefit overall with more value extraction from the platform. 

Some of these updates are necessary for organizations to enable existing customizations. If you haven’t been completely informed about this new release, this article has got you covered. Let’s take a look at the highlights from Salesforce’s Spring ’22 release.

Highlights From Salesforce’s Spring ’22 Release

1. Collaborative Forecast Enhancements For Improved predictions

The new update includes significant improvements to Collaborative Forecasts that will help in improving sales capabilities and drive sales. The Collaborative Forecasts setup has been made much more efficient. The Forecast types and Forecast settings have been combined in one setup page.

New insights have been added to the Core Forecast KPIs. This will add new ready-to-use columns to your forecasting grid and provide you with valuable metrics such as Gap to Quota and Pipeline Coverage.

The recent changes made in Forecast Categories by the Salesforce Spring 22 update can help see the forecast categories with a week-over-week view. This will make adjusting sales and forecasting strategies much easier.

2. Scooping Rules For Controlling the Default Records Your Users See

Scoping Rules are generally accessible without extra cost in the Salesforce Spring 22 update. This means that everyone, including users, can control access to default records during the search process.

Scooping rules don’t block access to any content; they just prioritize the most useful records.

3. Flow Orchestrator For Collaboration Between Platforms

A flow Orchestrator is a tool that offers a better ability to build and coordinate complex processes across multiple stages with multiple flows and involving multiple people to the admin. This saves the user group’s handover time. Minimum or no amount of code is required for the orchestrator feature.

4. Identify a Fresh Way of Establishing Practices

For the deployment of AI to be successful, it is crucial to focus on the linking of disparate data sources. Connecting systems and data together provide wealth management advisors with all the relevant measures required for working with multiple clients in a closer, faster, and more meaningful way. It also saves advisors from managing a large number of disconnected sources like emails, texts, internal documents, chats, and external data sources.

The Orchestrate Multi-User platform will allow the combination of new and old processes into a single interface. A group of users can be assigned interactive steps instead of just one user. The stage exit and set up entry and exit conditions can now be customized.

4. Enhanced Landing Page Experience For Pardot

Building on the useful features to create landing pages that were given by the Winter 22 release, Enhanced Landing Page for Pardot has brought even more updates in the Salesforce spring release, such as the ability to customize Pardot Form Styles with colors, fonts, margins, and more, new prebuilt page layouts and breadcrumbs, script code in the header and footer, and a custom redirect URL for unpublished landing pages.

4. Slack Integrations For Connectivity

Three Slack Integrations that came with the 2022 spring Salesforce update are the Huddle, Clips, and Slack connect features. The Huddle feature is a quick and spontaneous way of starting conversations that aren’t a meeting with your colleagues, partners, and customers.

The Clips feature enables the sharing of video, screen recordings, and audio within any channel or direct message that can be accessed by the receiver at their convenience. This function helps in avoiding heavy meeting schedules.

The Slack connect feature allows interactions with partners regardless of the Slack plan they are using.

6. Archive Experience Cloud Sites & Maintenance For Saving Reference

The Salesforce Experience Cloud site now allows you to archive old websites. This can be done with the new ‘Archive’ button added to the detail page of your site. This makes the site unavailable and displays a ‘Site under Management’ page. The archive pages can be resurrected with the unarchive option.

7. Personal Information Management Tool For Enhanced User Personal Data Protection

The Personal Information Management Tool is a new addition that was mentioned in the Salesforce Spring release notes. This tool will replace Salesforce’s Hide Personal Information setting. The tool has introduced Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that especially protects user record fields. Custom and Standard user fields that can now be considered PII are determined by You.

8. Edit Multiple Fields Inline on the Report Run Page For Better Functionality

Inline editing has been improved in this Salesforce release to allow multiple fields and records editing without rerunning it every time. This feature is a very welcome functional update that will enable you to save time and also make edits on the same record to related fields. The related fields will be marked as ‘pending’ when you are updating, and new values are updated to the related fields after saving the edits.

9. Browser Performance Improvements For CPQ

Say goodbye to the slow running operations of complex Salesforce CPQ implementation with the Salesforce Spring release. The program has been made far less power-hungry with the utilization of the new Web Components V1 tech.

10. Commerce Promotions for B2B

Salesforce now offers several kinds of commerce promotion for B2B stores that allow fixed discounts, more promotions per cart, and coupons to your customers.

Commerce Promotions Apex API promotions, creating multiple product discounts for the same promotion, and the ability to view all promotions used for an order are the additional updates in this promotion.

Conclusion

These highlights from Salesforce’s Spring ’22 have shown snippets of enhancement and improvements that have been brought upon for the new year. Few release features were applied immediately when the release went live. In comparison, some other features require the administrator’s direct action for usage.
